About

Research and education for people who want to check before they trade

SafeTrading is a developing trading research and education publication covering forex, crypto and stocks. We explain how trading works, what it costs and how to check a provider, so you can decide with a clearer view of the risks.

Where we are

SafeTrading is at an early stage. This page and our policies describe what the publication is for and the standards it works to. Research, tools and guides will be added as each piece is completed and checked.

We do not sell trading services, give personalized advice or manage money. All trading carries risk, and nothing we publish can remove it.

Who it is for

  • People new to trading who want to understand how trading works, what it costs and how risk builds up before they open an account.
  • Traders choosing a provider who want to know which company they would be dealing with, how it is regulated and what its terms say.
  • Anyone weighing an offer such as a platform, course or signal service, who wants to check it before paying.

We write for individual, non-professional traders. We cannot assess your personal circumstances.

Our principles

The editorial policy sets out how these work in practice.

  1. 01

    Clear explanations

Plain language, defined terms and worked examples. If something is complicated, we explain why, not just what.

  2. 02

    Traceable evidence

Claims about a named business link to their source and say when it was checked, so you can verify them yourself.

  3. 03

    Transparent commercial relationships

If we earn money from a business we write about, or share ownership with it, we say so where it matters.

  4. 04

    Honest limitations

We say what we could not verify, where rules differ between countries, and what a tool or article cannot tell you.
