How the FundedNext challenges work

FundedNext sells four CFD accounts under the Stellar name. Stellar 2-Step has an 8% Phase 1 target and a 5% Phase 2 target with 5 minimum trading days. Stellar 1-Step has a single 10% target and 2 minimum trading days. Stellar Lite is a cheaper 2-step with 8% and 4% targets and 2 minimum days. Stellar Instant has no evaluation.

There is no time limit, but the terms let FundedNext suspend access if you do not start trading within 30 days of purchase. All trading happens in a simulated environment with virtual funds.

The table shows the Stellar 2-Step and 1-Step prices on 25 Oct 2026, during a sale. US prices differ slightly: the 2-Step runs $49.99 to $1,049.99 and the 1-Step $55.99 to $1,049.99.

FundedNext drawdown rules explained

Every Stellar challenge uses a static maximum loss: the floor is set from your starting balance and does not move as you make money. It is 10% on the 2-Step, 6% on the 1-Step and 8% on Lite. The same limits carry over to the funded account.

The daily loss limit is measured from the previous day's closing balance: 5% on the 2-Step, 3% on the 1-Step and 4% on Lite. Breaking either limit ends the attempt, though you can buy a reset at a discount.

Stellar Instant has no daily loss limit and no consistency rule, but its 6% maximum loss trails your highest balance until it reaches the starting balance, then locks there. All funded accounts also carry a 3% maximum risk rule at any time.

FundedNext payouts and profit split

When you can first request a reward depends on the account. On the 2-Step it is 21 days after you get the funded account, then every 14 days. The 1-Step allows a reward every 5 business days, Lite every 10 days, and Instant on demand or bi-weekly. The 2-Step also offers an option to request after 3 winning days, at a 60% split.

The base split is 80% on the 1-Step, 2-Step and Lite. FundedNext's USA guide says it rises to 90% after scaling, and a Lifetime 95% add-on is sold for those three accounts. Instant starts at 70% for US clients and reaches 80% after its third tier.

FundedNext's help center says rewards are issued within 24 hours, and its homepage promises $1,000 extra if a reward takes longer. Methods include USDT, USDC, Rise, bank transfer and card. Traders pay any gateway charges. After passing a challenge and meeting its scale-up criteria, you can also claim a one-time reward of 15% of your challenge profit.

The 2-Step fee is refunded with the first reward. The 1-Step and Lite fees are refunded at the third reward. Instant fees are not refunded.

Platforms and instruments

CFD accounts run on MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and Match-Trader. US clients can only use Match-Trader, because MetaQuotes services are not available in the US and cTrader stopped selling new US accounts on March 31, 2026. A platform switch is not possible.

The separate futures program runs on Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView, with its own Flex, Rapid and Direct plans.

Costs, refunds and resets

Stellar Lite costs $32.99 for $5K, $59.99 for $10K, $139.99 for $25K, $229.99 for $50K, $399.99 for $100K and $798.99 for $200K. Stellar Instant costs $59.99 for $2K up to $599.99 for $20K.

Under the CFD challenge terms, you can get a refund within 7 days of purchase only if you have not traded. Once you place a trade, the fee is not refundable, and failing or breaching a rule never earns a refund. Breached challenges can be reset at a discount.

Trading restrictions

News trading is allowed during challenges. On funded accounts, the pricing data lists a 40% limit on news profit.

Copy trading is only allowed between your own FundedNext accounts, up to $300,000 combined. Copying between different people, including through tools like Social Trader Tools or Duplikum, is banned. Hedging is only allowed within the same account.

The help center bans gambling-style overleveraging, profits mostly from trades held under 30 seconds, high-frequency trading, arbitrage, tick scalping, grid trading, trading the 00:00 to 02:00 server window, account rolling and account sharing. The terms add that unauthorized bots, scripts and AI agents are not allowed.

The CFD challenge terms set a contractual penalty of $25,000 for each breach of the prohibited trading practices, which FundedNext can set off against any reward or refund. The terms also describe any reward as discretionary until approved and paid.

  • Break the daily or maximum loss limit: the account is closed, resettable at a discount
  • Banned practice: warnings, profit adjustments or termination, across all linked accounts
  • Use a US IP on a MetaQuotes server: a warning, then termination with no reward or refund

Country bans and US traders

FundedNext's help center lists 20 restricted countries, including Bangladesh, Belarus, Malaysia, Myanmar, North Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria and Vietnam.

US residents can buy the Stellar 1-Step, 2-Step and Lite on Match-Trader, with no EAs or algorithmic trading. The USA guide says Instant is also available, but the restricted-countries article says US clients cannot access Stellar Instant. Check before you buy.

Who owns FundedNext and where it is registered

FundedNext is not a broker and is not regulated. Its help center says it operates within the regulatory framework of the UAE, and its site says all trading is simulated.

Services are provided by GrowthNext F.Z.E. (registration number 28831), Office No. 7, AI Robotics Hub, C1 Building, Ajman Free Zone, UAE. The simulated trading environment is run by FundedNext Ltd, registered in the Comoros (HY01023052). Payments are handled by FundedNext Limited in Hong Kong and by Incenteco Trading Ltd and Abutor Investments Ltd in Cyprus.

Our verdict

FundedNext gets the basics right for most traders: low prices, static loss limits, no time limit, and fast stated reward processing. It is also one of the few large forex prop firms that sells to US residents.

Read the terms before you buy. US traders are tied to Match-Trader with no EAs, the split above 80% costs extra, and the $25,000 penalty clause is unusually harsh even if it is aimed at abuse.
