A futures prop firm selling one-time evaluations with an end-of-day drawdown and no activation fee. Its four plans trade off consistency rules, daily loss limits and payout speed, and it allows bots and trade copiers.

Our verdict

Good, with a caveat

4.2

Low one-time prices, an end-of-day drawdown, a 90% split and permission to automate make Lucid attractive. The catch is transparency about who runs it: the only company details are an LLC name and a Delaware address.

  • Lowest list prices of the futures firms we compared, from $65
  • One-time fee and no activation fee
  • End-of-day drawdown on every plan
  • Automated trading and trade copiers are allowed
  • No consistency rule on LucidFlex funded accounts

  • Consistency rules of 40% (LucidFlex evaluation, LucidPro payouts) and 20% (LucidDirect)
  • News is a hard breach on LucidDaily
  • Microscalping rule: more than half your profit from trades of 5 seconds or less is banned

How Lucid Trading's plans work

Lucid sells evaluations, simulated accounts with a profit target, and one instant-funding plan. All are one-time purchases with no monthly rebill, and there is no fee to activate the funded account once you pass.

LucidPro can be passed in one trading day and has no evaluation consistency rule. LucidFlex has a 40% consistency rule in the evaluation (50% with a paid add-on) and no consistency rule once funded. LucidDaily lets you pick an EOD or intraday drawdown in the evaluation and bans news trading. LucidDirect skips the evaluation.

The table shows list prices on Lucid's plan cards on 25 Oct 2026, with default options. Adding options such as a daily loss limit or on-demand payouts can change the price. A 40% off coupon was showing on evaluations that day.

Lucid drawdown rules explained

Lucid uses an end-of-day trailing Max Loss Limit. It is recalculated at the end of each session from your highest closing balance and rises as that balance grows. Once your balance passes the initial trail level, the limit locks at the starting balance plus $100. On a $50K LucidFlex account that means it locks at $50,100 once you close above $52,100.

If your balance reaches the limit the account is breached. When you request a payout the limit moves straight to the locked level.

LucidDirect accounts have wider limits: $1,000, $2,000, $3,500 or $5,000 by size.

Lucid payouts

Every plan pays 90% to you. Lucid has no fixed payout window: you can request on any day after meeting the criteria, and Lucid says funds take about 15 minutes on average once approved. US traders can be paid by instant bank transfer through Plaid; WorkMarket by ADP pays by bank or PayPal, and international traders can take crypto.

LucidFlex needs 5 days that each hit a minimum profit ($100, $150, $200 or $250 by size) and positive net profit for the cycle. You can take up to 50% of profit per request, capped at $1,000, $2,000, $2,500 or $3,000, with a $500 minimum. After five payouts the account is moved live.

LucidPro needs a cycle profit goal ($250 to $1,000), a 40% consistency rule and a buffer equal to the initial loss limit plus $100. LucidDirect needs a profit goal of $1,500 to $9,000 for the first payout and a 20% consistency rule.

Fees: evaluations, resets and LucidDirect

Evaluations are one-time fees. Resets are extra: $45 to $225 on LucidFlex and $75 to $255 on LucidPro by size. There is no activation fee on any plan.

LucidDirect, the instant-funding plan, lists at $329, $515, $700 and $836 for $25K to $150K, and was showing a 30% coupon. It has a 20% consistency rule and allows up to five accounts.

Lucid's platform article does not list platform or data fees.

Rules that trip people up

Lucid is permissive on style but strict on a few specific behaviors:

  • Microscalping: more than 50% of profits from trades held 5 seconds or less is prohibited
  • News trading is a hard breach on LucidDaily; it is allowed on LucidFlex, LucidPro and LucidDirect
  • Hedging and high-frequency trading are prohibited
  • LucidFlex evaluation: no day can be more than 40% of profit (50% with the add-on)
  • LucidPro payouts: your best day must be no more than 40% of cycle profit

Automation, copiers and platforms

Lucid's rules say automated trading systems and trade copiers are permitted, as long as they follow its other rules. Scaling in and averaging down are allowed, though Lucid discourages adding to losers.

On CQG data you can use NinjaTrader, Tradovate or TradingView. On Rithmic data you can use Quantower, Tradesea, MotiveWave, Sierra Chart, Jigsaw, Bookmap, ATAS, R|Trader Pro or MultiCharts. Lucid says every platform works with every account type.

Who owns Lucid Trading and where it is registered

Lucid's terms of use name Lucid Trading Group LLC. The only address on its site is 3500 S Dupont Hwy, Dover, DE 19901. We found no founders, executives or founding date on its site or support center; the copyright line runs from 2024.

That is thinner than Topstep or Apex, which name their leadership and headquarters. Lucid's rules and prices are published in detail, but you have less to go on about who is behind it.

Our verdict

On paper Lucid is one of the most trader-friendly futures firms: low one-time prices, end-of-day drawdowns, no activation fee, a 90% split and permission to run bots. LucidFlex suits traders who want no consistency rule once funded; LucidPro suits those who want to pass in a day.

The limited company information is the reason it does not score higher. Start with one small account and take a payout before buying more.
